Thesis

My name is Sean Rigsby, and this is my blog. I have been asked to analyze the following statement: Blogging has significantly impacted the print journalism industry. I believe it has, done so, for better or for worse. I believe this simply because it seems that the internet itself has rushed in a new age of journalism, and blogs are major weapon in that arsenal that battles against print journalism. The following links mark intial research on the subject.

The first of these links was a report on how the defense department has taken interest in blogs as a means of fighting terrorism. The second discusses the blog postings that portrayed the earliest images available from the devasting tsunami that hit the south pacific about two years ago. The third discusses how blogs, among others things such as podcasts, are used by websites and businesses to boost interest in their services and products.
